Why analyze the shop and improve it?

It is useful to know what can be improved in your shop and what opportunities there are to develop traffic. The usability of the shop directly translates into an increase in the number of purchases in the shop, because it makes them easier to make and increases confidence.

1

An e-commerce audit is an in-depth analysis of an e-commerce website in terms of criteria such as the website’s SEO (i.e. positioning) capabilities, content quality and UX (user experience and ease of use of the shop). The aim of such an analysis is to detect problems, but also, and above all, to identify opportunities and chances for the development of the online shop.

2

The audit will identify solutions that will increase the number of user visits to your online shop. We also want to catch any elements that your potential customers may find incomprehensible, difficult to use and cause them to decide not to make a purchase.

When is it worth ordering an online shop audit?

when the store is not growing or sales levels are declining

Your store will be subject to an in-depth analysis. You will receive complete information and an action plan. You will learn which areas need to be worked on and how to do it to finally see satisfactory sales results.

when you are considering
a total store redesign

If you want to change the entire store because it is not generating sales, first collect all the data and determine what is blocking sales before you decide on a major revolution. Remember that revolutions usually eat their own children!

when the campaigns you run don’t bring you satisfactory results

The results of advertising campaigns do not depend solely on the quality of the campaign itself. Sales are often blocked by problems in the store itself. The audit will help determine whether your store may be blocking sales!

The last report I prepared was over 100 pages long and took three weeks to prepare.

Are you now wondering whether you will even be able to understand anything from this audit? And what to even do next with such an audit?
You don’t have to worry. My audits are prepared for online shop owners in such a way that they find them as useful as possible. I know who I’m doing it for and I do my best to make the document understandable to people outside my industry.

My promise to you: this audit will give you a clear picture of what to change in your shop and how to change it.

is well-organized

The audit document is neatly organized and written for easy viewing online as a PDF and Google Doc.

What can you use an online store audit for?

1

The conclusions of the audit are, of course, best implemented in your shop. How do you do this? For at least some of this work, you will need the involvement of a web developer and an SEO specialist. If you have such people in your team – great! Give them the audit to implement. If you don’t have – it’s worth hiring such people to work with you.

2

You can also outsource the implementation of the audit findings to us, the Brainfactory team, as part of our online shop optimisation service. In this case, we will deduct the total cost of performing the audit from the price for this service.

What else is worth knowing about an online shop audit?

A document in PDF and Google DOC format, edited in a clear and easy-to-view format. The document will be divided into chapters and can be navigated via an interactive table of contents.

We start by signing a contract that includes paragraphs on confidentiality. This is necessary because I will ask you to give me access to the analytical tools plugged into your website. I need between 1 and 3 weeks to prepare the audit The date of execution will be determined together during the initial discussions. During these talks, I will also talk to you about the current situation of your shop and your goals for its development. I will then sit down for the website analysis stage. For the audit, I use several specialist tools such as Screaming Frog, Senuto, Search Console or Google Analytics. I also look at and test the online shop itself in detail – its mechanisms, functional solutions, design. I do this for both the PC and mobile versions.

In such a situation, it would be best to plug in these tools as soon as possible and delay the audit for at least a few weeks. It is true that not much data will be collected during this time, but some data will still be collected and analysed. However, if you do not want to wait, a usability audit of the shop and its content can be carried out on its own.

Once the audit is complete, we will have an online meeting where I will present you with my findings , present you with the final audit document and discuss it initially. You will then receive the audit by email and we will arrange a date for another online meeting to discuss your questions.

The price depends on the size of the online shop and the scope of the audit. But if you want to know the order of magnitude then we start at £3500 net. If, after reviewing the audit, you want to cooperate with us in order to make changes to your shop and develop traffic and conversions, the entire price of the audit will be deducted from the price for our further cooperation.
